Lighting Tower - Stability

The Hylite mobile lighting tower is fitted with an integral stabilising, jacking and telescoping jockey wheel, which is terrain adjustable. Outriggers are fitted front and rear with screw jacks which are retractable when not in use. Even with the outriggers extended the Hylite's 'footprint' is compact and very sturdy even in adverse wind conditions.

Lighting Tower - Lighting

The lamp section is universally mounted to allow for multi - directional placeing. The lamps can rotate 360 degrees via a control panel switch. The standard Hylite mobile lighting tower comes with tungsten halogen lamp bulbs but other options are available including, metal halide and high pressure sodium lamps.

Lighting Tower - Trailer

The Hylite's 'Gullwing' manufactured design of the trailer allows easy access servicing and secure storage space for lights. The monocoque shell is fabricated from steel plate section, which is welded, treated for corrosion and powder based paint coated. The standard yellow colour can be adopted if required, or your own company colour can be used if required. The Hylite mobile floodlighting tower can be towed up to high speeds due to the torsion axles which allow the pneumatically tyred wheels to be joined. The braking system employed involves drum brakes, if needed a straight, cranked or adjustable towbar can be provided.

Lighting Tower - Engine / Generators

The standard Hylite mobile lighting tower uses a Lister-Petter air-cooled or liquid cooled diesel engine, or a Kubota liquid cooled diesel engine in conjunction with Mecc-Alte generators. In addition customers have the choice of Perkins, Lombardini, Deutz, Hatz, with Markon or Newage generators which can be supplied.

Lighting Tower - Power and Power Cord

Secondary appliances can be used by means of output sockets allowing power offtake. The power cord to the lights is sleeved and self-retracting, preventing tangling and breaking. The lights and the power sockets are each protected by circuit breakers and a residual current circuit breaker is fitted as standard. UK and US machines are supplied with 110 volts throughout. Machines to all other markets can be supplied with 240V (single or three phase), 380V and 415V.

Lighting Tower - Transport

The Hylite mobile lighting tower has been designed with shipping in mind, and a fixed amount will fit into a standard container. The mast and runnning gear are removed and the machines are then stacked two high, using specially designed frames. This enables 8 machines to be transported in a 6m container, and 16 machines in a 12m container, once at their destination the machines can be easily re-assembled and ready for use.

Lighting Tower - Approvals

The standard Hylite mobile floodlighting tower is built to meet current European regulations on technical standards and safety, every machine carries the CE mark. Hylite mobile floodlighting towers can also be supplied to meet specific EU country regulations e.g. German TUV, French Service De Mines.
