Taylor Construction Plant of Maldon in Essex has developed a new, premium lighting tower to meet the needs of the discerning buyer and to strengthen TCP’s position in the market.
Best known for pioneering the now dominant metal halide lamp system in the UK with the Terex Amida tower, TCP has now launched the Hylite unit to meet the demand for a powered mast.
In addition to a safe, hydraulically operated mast raise and lower mechanism, TCP’s engineers have also designed a unique, 9.1 m hexagonal mast plus an option by which each of up to six 1000 watt metal halide lamps can be electrically rotated from ground level for precise beam adjustment.
Another key feature of the Hylite is the ability for a customer to specify the generator’s make and output up to a maximum of 22 kVA. This choice allows electrical power from the unit to be used for a variety of other purposes in addition to just powering the lamps, hence making it ideal for applications such as outdoor events.
This new fully bunded lighting tower, which is available with either four or six lamps, is engineered to a very high standard, is easy to set-up and use and is mounted onto a fully galvanised T-bar style chassis. To allow extended run times up to 72 hours, the unit is equipped with a 200 litre capacity underslung fuel tank.
