A TCP Hi-T500 compact dumper is the very first piece of construction plant to be purchased by a 10 year old Yorkshire based company specialising in house extensions and conversions.
ACM Construction of Bradford recently took on a basement conversion job and, according to company owner Adrian Martin, “We simply couldn’t have tackled this job without the new machine because it involved negotiating a ramp system which would have been impossible by means of wheelbarrows.”
Manufactured by Taylor Construction Plant of Maldon in Essex, the diesel powered Hi-T500 is mounted on a rubber tracked undercarriage and has provided ACM with the perfect partner for the mini diggers it hires when required and, as Mr. Martin points out, “Unlike a wheelbarrow, the machines can keep going all day!”
Previously, the company often re-handled material more than once, resulting in inefficient and untidy sites. Now, besides being able to transport spoil and incoming new material quickly, quietly and safely, the TCP machine is able to tip directly into waiting skips and this ability was the final clincher for Mr. Martin to place his order.
The 2006 version of the Hi-T500 features an easy access, GRP sound proofed engine cowl which has helped to lower noise levels to 99 LWA. In addition, hand/arm vibration levels have been reduced by an impressive 20% by isolating the engine from the chassis using resilient mounts.
