Tracked dumper proves a hit with an access ramp manufacturer

Portaramp of Thetford is the largest company of its type in the UK and the new modular system has been developed to provide a cost-effective access solution for a wide variety of situations.

The HiT-500, supplied by Taylor Construction Plant of Maldon in Essex, has been partnered with an 850 kg micro excavator to provide a space and weight efficient dig and carry team.

Commenting on the acquisition, Portaramp’s managing director Keith Jones said: “Unfortunately, it was only after moving some 2 tonne of material by wheelbarrow at my own home that I discovered the existence of TCP’s amazing little dumper. It came extremely highly recommended by a builder friend of mine and I had no hesitation in placing an order”.

Besides its economical diesel engine and rugged build quality, the HiT-500 also has excellent across-site capability and its unique high-tip mechanism enables it to fully discharge loads directly into skips.
