Hampshire Plant Hire of Winchester has recently purchased a fleet of four compact tracked dumpers from Maldon based Taylor Construction Plant.

The Hi-T500 models have a maximum payload of 500 kg and are powered by electric start diesel engines developing 7.4 kW (10 hp), driving through 2-speed hydrostatic transmissions.

Popular with many plant and tool hire companies, the machines also feature a unique high tip mechanism enabling loads to be fully discharged into 1200 mm high skips.

Commenting on the addition of the Hi-T500’s to Hampshire Plant Hire’s plant holding, director Dave Meadham said: “We like to have a good variety of equipment in our fleet and we have experienced a marked increase in demand for compact equipment able to work on difficult access sites”.

Mr. Meadham added: “The TCP machine fits the bill perfectly and is ideally suited to operate alongside the micro excavators we also offer”.
