A TCP mini tracked dumper has solved a materials handling problem on a tight access site in Essex where a swimming pool is being refurbished.
Farmhouse owner Paul Huttey is quick to point out that without the HiT500 dumper, on hire from BTG of Ongar, he would have been faced with the task of moving several tonnes of rubble and earth the hard way - by wheelbarrow.
Because the pool complex is surrounded by walls, the only access to it is via a 900 mm wide gateway - too narrow for most machinery to negotiate. However, with an overall width of just 700 mm, the HiT500 has proved perfect for the project in combination with a micro excavator.
TCP’s machine, which now features in many hire fleets throughout the country, is powered as standard by an economical 7.1 kW (9.5 hp) Kubota diesel engine, has a maximum carrying capacity of 500 kg and a high tip mechanism to enable direct discharge into skips.
